As you read this
comparison, please be careful not to judge the Muslim people by their
prophet. In many cases, these dear people continue to follow
Mohammad simply because they have never been presented with an
alternative. To our shame, the church has woefully
neglected Muslim missions, and left them alone in their
darkness. Now, in order for us to present a believable
gospel to them, we must understand them, love them, pray for them, and be
able to present a reasonable faith from the scriptures.
Jesus and Mohammad

Jesus |
Mohammad |
Raised the dead. |
Killed the living. |
Released the oppressed. |
Enslaved
the free, attacking and plundering caravans, stealing
their goods, and enslaving their women and children.
|
Sanctified earth with
the holiness of heaven. |
Defiled man's understanding of
heaven, promising unlimited sexual encouters to those who died in
Jihad. (Koran 38:51; 44:54; 55:55-74; 56:34-36) |
"Love your enemies, do good to
those who hate you." |
Engaged in 47 battles, and
beheaded his enemies. "Strike off their
heads. Strike off their finger-tips." (Koran
8:12-13). "Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell
around you." (9:123) "Seize them and put them to death
wherever you find them." (4:89) Muslim sources describe
Mohammad presiding over the beheading of 500 Jewish men, five at a
time. |
Took children into his arms, and
blessed them. |
Married a six year old girl. (He
consummated the marriage at age nine). |
Condemned adultery. |
Stole away his stepson,
Zaid's, wife, Zaynab. (Koran 33:37) |
Repeatedly demonstrated his
divinity with miraclulous signs and wonders. |
Insisted on blind allegiance,
or to suffer the fires of hell. (Koran 2:39;
3:106) |
Redeemed prostitutes. |
Told his followers that they should not
sell their slave girls into prostitution if they wanted to
preserve their chastity. (Koran 24:33) This leaves us to
assume that if they did not care about their chastity, it
was OK to sell them
as prostitutes. |
Honored marriage ("..the two shall
become one flesh.") |
Took multiple wives and concubines, including
the wife of his stepson, and advised his followers to take "two,
three, or four wives." (Koran
4:3) |
Honored and dignified
women. |
Sanctioned the use of captured
women as concubines, (sex slaves), for his
followers. (Koran 70:30; 23:5) He also approved female
circumcision, and to this day
many Muslim women are
being so mutilated. |
